Decorate & Garden On A Budget | Thrift Shopping For A Garden!

Hello beautiful people! In today’s video we are visiting a local Goodwill to see if we can find a few more thrifty goodies for the “Romantic Feeding Station” garden project. I have been working on this area in my back yard for the past few weeks, and it’s a joy to bring this serene garden station to life. As usual, I prefer to thrift for my items- inside and outside of my home! Secondhand is the way to go to save money and create a beautiful scape on a budget. Most of this garden decor was found through thrifting, and some was even gifted to me for free(the lovely faux stone planters and black bench), which is such a blessing! I also look for plants in the clearance section at the garden centers, and will repot or move plants I already have. 🙂

Here is the link for the book that I used as the plans for this “Romantic Feeding Station” garden project: https://amzn.to/3NlAh4B
Here are the instructions for building your own teacup bird feeders:
1. Use ceramic glue to attach the teacups to the saucers and allow glue to dry.
2. Turn the saucers upside down (with the cup attached) and attach several 1-inch pieces of Velcro to the bottom of each saucer. Stick to the corresponding Velcro pieces to the top of the patio table and attach the saucers to the table.
3. Fill the cups with safflower seeds and millet, or with suet and/or your choice of other bird foods.

Thank you for being here! Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts and feedback.
With Love,
Monica

Why would you take tea cups and ruining a set of dishes?

If that is a real candle flame next to the bird seed, is that safe ? Otherwise very nice and thoughtful towards God’s creation.

Thats funny. I just went to a couple thrift stores looking for things for my flowerbeds and porch. Didnt find a thing! You had some cute ideas 🙂

Burning candles release toxins that are harmful to birds (ask any parrot owner), even outdoors, if birds are feeding nearby. Time to use flameless candles. Otherwise, that’s a cute space.

This is lovely! I would recommend glue E6000 instead of Velcro for weather durability.

Use a battery candle and no one gets hurt.

Help! I need ideas for concrete core samples 😂
I was in Florida on vacation and my nana said “I pick these up all the time…what can we do with them” and she takes me to a bin by the roadside near a concrete company that has a sign that said “free”. So we picked up all we could carry!
The obvious is to line a garden bed but I have none that are small enough to be able to fully go around it. So….ideas for these?

Cute, but lit candles outside for wildlife…questionable.
